01 Overview

Iron-oxide buildup from carbon-steel piping in BWR circuits and wastewaters is a decades-old problem. The advent of precoatless filters for condensate blowdown compounded it, because there is no solid substrate to help drop the iron out of solution. The paper presents a novel electrocoagulation treatment solution, the SAFET™ system.
